Iran's Supreme Leader Calls for Annihilation of Israel

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is calling for the annihilation of Israel. On November 8, he Twittered, “This barbaric, wolflike & infanticidal regime of Israel which spares no crime has no cure but to be annihilated.” Last year Khamenei called Israel the “sinister, unclean rabid dog of the region.” This is the same Khamenei to whom President Barak Obama wrote a secret letter in October seeking to work together in combating the Islamic State and pursuing a deal in regard to Iran’s nuclear program (“Obama Wrote Secret Letter,”The Wall Street Journal, Nov. 6, 2014). The letter was kept secret from America’s Middle East allies, including Israel.
