"Evangelical" Publisher's Pro-Homosexual Book

An “evangelical” publisher has come out with a pro-homosexual book by a “gay rights” activist who claims to be a Bible believer. The book God and the Gay Christian: The Biblical Case in Support of Same-Sex Relationships by Matthew Vines is published by Convergent Books, “an imprint of WaterBrook/Multnomah Publishing,” which was bought by Random House in 2006. Vines is president of Reformation Project, the purpose of which is “to train Christians to support and affirm lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in all aspects of church life.” The organization’s agenda is summarized as “Advancing the Kingdom, Advancing Equality.” The fable that God can be pleased with homosexuality is a deep spiritual deception that is growing quickly in fulfillment of Bible prophecy. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
